Sports Facilities

College has sufficient area for the sports activities. The grounds for Cricket, Volleyball, and Football are being properly maintained throughout the year. The college also has two courts for Lawn Tennis and cemented court for Basketball. It also has two indoor facilities for Table Tennis (boys and girls) as well as Badminton (Girls Only).
The teams of our college in all these games participate annually in the Kurukshetra University Intercollegiate Tournaments. This year also our teams of Basketball, Table Tennis and Football have already participated and preparations are underway in full swing to participate for Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket Tournaments of Kurukshetra University. The performance of our students was excellent and praiseworthy.

The annual budget for sports is about Rs. 40,000/- for sports purchase and about Rs. 30,000/- for participation in Kurukshetra University Intercollegiate Tournaments to meet the expenditure like T.A./D.A., refreshment, medical aid, Match etc. of the players (boys and girls).
Earlier, one of our students Mr. Sunil Kumar was selected in Haryana National Team of Boxing in the year 2009-2010. and Mr. Pardeep Kumarselected in Haryana National Team of Basket Ball in the year 2009-2010. This year also the performance of our students was satisfactory.
The sports activities are also open to hostlers (Both boys as well as girls), which are 500 in number. We are also planning to construct a multipurpose Gymnasium Hall for Badminton and Table Tennis games, which will go a long way in providing momentum to the existing sports facilities in the college.

Athletics
The athletic meet is also held annually in the month of March in the College Cricket Ground. Three have been held so far, the first one was in March 2008. The fourth will now be held in March 2009. Last year about 200 Students, 30 girls among them have participated in the following events.

  • Javelin Throw
  • Discuss Throw
  • Shot Put
  • Slow Cycling

The winners (I, II, III) in each event were given medals on the spot while the Best Athletes (Boys/Girls) were honoured in the Annual Founder Day Function of the college. The Athletic Meet has now become a regular feature of the college to in still competitive spirit and social interaction among the students hailing from different regions of the Northern India.

During 2009-10 also the College teams of Cricket, Lawn Tennis, Foot Ball, Volleyball, Table Tennis (Boys/Girls) and Badminton (Boys/ Girls) participated in the K.U. Intercollegiate Tournaments. The performance of our teams has been excellent this time. In fact, our college team of Lawn Tennis has won Bronze Medal and the girls team of Badminton earned appreciation both in the K.U. Tournaments as well as in the 20th Haryana State Women Sports Festival organized by Sports & Youth affairs Deptt., Haryana. Further, our College hosted the Zonal K.U. Inter Collegiate Tournaments in Cricket because of availability of excellent lush green cricket ground and other infrastructure.

The performance of Mr. Manjeet (Lawn tennis), Ritesh Dahiya (Cricket), Ms Monika Bisnoi (Badminton) and Ms Nisha Sharma (Table Tennis) has been extremely outstanding. The college also has Gym facilities for both boys and girls.Athletic Meet is also held every year; four of these have already been organized. About 200 students (Boys/Girls) take part in the Athletic Meet. On the average about an amount of Rupees 10 Lakh is spent on the sports activities each year. The players are also given sports kits, tracksuits, prizes, medals, etc.
