Under the worsening energy crisis, the role of an electronic engineer comprises the design and development of more efficient electronic machinery, power systems and control equipment and systems. with ever increasing tempo of events throughout the world, it has become essential to have more efficient communication network with the latest electronic devices and circuits. The department has well-equipped laboratories such as principle of communication engineering lab., Communication system lab., Advanced communication system lab., Communication Engineering lab., TV lab., Digital Electronics lab., Electronic and Devices laboratories, Introduction to Microprocessor lab., Industrial Engg. lab., Network Filters & Transmission lab., Computer lab. & Electrical Laboratory.

Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SKIET, Dev Bhoomi, Kurukshetra. It is my proud privilege to pen in a few lines in this column as Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The Department has witnessed significant growth beginning since 1997.The Department seeks to combine excellence in education and research. Our vision is to be recognized as an innovative and leading Engineering Department. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. We have always tried to maintain a harmonious balance between class room teaching and research. The Department offers Bachelor degrees in Electronics and Communication. We produce graduates to become future leaders for industry, academia, government and society in world whose vision is founded upon fundamental knowledge, creative and analytical skills, local/regional perspective and ethics. Through a nice blend of course work and projects, the department endows students with the ability to apply knowledge of science, mathematics and engineering to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, provide leadership and technical expertise, and practice engineering with ethical approaches and concern for society and environment.
